Pyrmont/Ultimo
From 1999 to 2004, Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority was responsible for steering the renewal of Pyrmont from industrial landscape to a vibrant new urban community. The Authority inherited this responsibility from City West Development Corporation, which initiated the rejuvenation process in Ultimo and Pyrmont in 1992.
The Authority's successful urban renewal of the Pyrmont foreshore has now been completed and management of the precinct is being progressively handed back to City of Sydney for ongoing care and future development.
