Australians generate about 32 million tonnes of waste each year—that’s about 1.5 tonnes from every one of us. Each year, hundreds of thousands of Australians help clean up their local environment on Clean Up Australia Day. So this year, do your bit and get involved. Simply pick a site and make sure you bring along gloves, sturdy shoes, sunglasses and sun protection.

8TH ANNUAL SYDNEY HARBOUR SWIM CLASSIC

The Swim Classic is a great opportunity for the public to compete in a community swim event on Sydney Harbour. Swim the 2 km Classic or 1 km Mini Classic or join the cheering crowd.

Time: 1km Mini Swim Classic 9.30am, 2km Swim Classic 10.10am
Cost: Under 18 $25, adult $40
Location: Man O’ War Steps, Royal Botanic Gardens
