Nielsen Park
Sydney Harbour was once described as "a pond in the middle of a privately-owned paddock". This was until the formation in 1905 of The Harbour Foreshores Vigilance Committee whose purpose was to secure privately owned foreshore areas of Sydney Harbour for public recreation. Join a NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service guide for a tour through the grounds of Nielsen Park. Learn of Nielsen Park's history and the tragedy that led to the park being returned to the people. Tea and scones served in the grounds of Greycliffe House after the tour.
